Personal Interests

Dr. McAfee likes traveling to new places both domestically and abroad and exploring new cultures and cuisines, cooking for family, playing bagpipes, and enjoying the beauty of nature while hiking and camping with family.


Dr. McAfee completed her medical training at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and then moved with her husband to Northern Virginia where she completed her residency at Fairfax Family Practice with training located at the Inova Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals. During residency, she participated in and led 2 medical mission trips to Honduras with the Shoulder to Shoulder Program and participated in a project involving lobbying on Capitol Hill to ensure continuing support for health care in underserved areas of the country. She joined the Lorton Station office after completing her residency in 2014.
