Outside of medicine, Dr. Yi enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, playing music, serving at his local church, and eating good food.

Biography

Dr. Yi is a native of South Korea and grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland after moving to the United States at the age of 4. He completed his undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University and went on to pursue medical training at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Dr. Yi completed his residency at VCU-Fairfax Family Practice, where he served as Academic Chief Resident, taking on an active teaching role and coordinating resident didactics and conferences. He is excited to join the thriving practice at Lorton Station Family Medicine as of 2015. The wide scope of care, promotion of health within a trusting, long-lasting patient-physician relationship, and the holistic approach to care is what draws Dr. Yi to the practice of Family Medicine.
